IsaidI’mnotgoingtoeatyousostoprighttherewhycan’tyoutrustmeI’mnotgoingtokillyouIswearpleasecomebacktomeIloveyou! She keeps going forward and doesn’t look back. What does she believe that makes her act this way? There aren’t any of your kind here, you’re all alone. It’s been a long time since your planet got blown up. I don’t want her pain. Who gets off on seeing people suffer? I can’t leave her to move as she pleases. My teeth keep missing the mark, so even if I manage to bite off a chunk of her, I won’t be able to hit a vital point. I don’t like to overestimate my hunting skills. Biting while running is an unfamiliar move in my hunting style. Before crash landing here, I never needed to hunt. I only had to face off against the meat already on my plate.

I’ve run out of patience. Playtime is over. I decide to throw myself over her like a net. Keeping an eye on her, I crouch, ready to pounce. As I fly through the air, in an instant, I calculate her trajectory and adjust my own, drawing an arc like a cannonball. I hope that, at the end of the flight path, there is a glossy head. I open my mouth in four parts and lay my teeth flat against my gums. My lips flap wildly. The space inside my cheeks expands to three times the size of my prey. I have made her coffin. IpromiseIwon’teatyou! Before she makes it out of the alley and into the road, Iwon’teatyouIpromise! my lips embrace her. IpromiseIwon’teatyou! As if a blanket fell from the sky, Iwon’teatyouIpromise! she tries her hardest to survive, IpromiseIwon’teatyou! punching the inside of my mouth. With a shhhhhhhhhhhhh I expel the air Iwon’teatyouIpromise! and press my mucous membrane IpromiseIwon’teatyou! to her skin. I drag my extended mouth down Iwon’teatyouIpromise! the inky blackness of a different alley IpromiseIwon’teatyou! and crush her to a pulp. My saliva pumps more Iwon’teatyouIpromise! actively than ever, IpromiseIwon’teatyou! melting her. Her flesh and bones become a coagulated rice-porridge-like mush, Iwon’teatyouIpromise! then slide down IpromiseIwon’teatyou! my throat. Finally, Iwon’teatyouIpromise! I’ve eaten IpromiseIwon’teatyou! every last Iwon’teatyouIpromise! bit of her.

Except the hair.

I don’t feel like going home early tonight. My heart is all mixed up, so even if I were to clean myself up and lie down in bed, sleep would never come. Now that my rowdy appetite has been put to rest, my mind clears as if I am wiping crud from my eyes. It’s now possible to ruminate and meditate in a peaceful atmosphere. I throw up a chunk of flesh from the top half of her body onto a telephone pole. This is the first time I’ve thrown up human meat. I’m in shock. It feels like I’ve eaten something I shouldn’t have. I really didn’t know. I never fully understood. No, I clearly knew once, but as time passed, I cut off any routes to that kind of perception. Really, I’ve never forgotten. The persistent grind of meat.

This is a story from before I butchered on white blankets without spilling a drop of blood.
